The Challenge

Bald and golden eagles face many risks, including electrocutions, collisions, and lead poisoning. Minimizing the number of eagle deaths caused by any one source is essential to maintain the eagle populations in Montana.

The Opportunity

Hunters can reduce the occurrence of lead poisoning in eagles by using non-lead ammunition. For this effort, we are offering eligible hunters in Montana one $20 voucher to offset the cost of one box of factory non-lead ammunition or one box of bullets for reloading used in common rifle calibers for big game hunting. Vouchers are limited.

Who is Eligible?

All Montana residents are eligible for one $20 voucher, however, residents of Park, Sweet Grass, Gallatin, or Madison Counties will receive priority.

Where can the Vouchers be Used?
